One of the most versatile things that I love to use are binder clips! Here are some innovative ways on how to organize with them. Toothpaste Squeezer It helps keep the rolled up portion in place. Cable Clamp I store my cables neatly and knot-free this way. Cable Catcher I hate having to bend under my desk just to look for cables. Binder clips attached to the end of the table help keep them easily accessible. Ribbon Clamp My ribbons never unravel on me with the help of binder clips! Accessories Organizer Here’s how I keep my necklaces from tangling with each other. I use binder clips to keep them neat on a hanger! Chips Bag Clip I keep my chips and cookies crisp and fresh with binder clips. I think it holds the bag shut tighter compared to other bag clips actually made for this purpose. Refrigerator Item Lock Bottles inside the refrigerator are held neatly stacked with the help of binder clips! There are many ways to organize using everyday office supplies. This also helps you save money versus having to buy the exact tool needed.

Bread clips, those little plastic devices used to seal sliced bread bags, have a lot of uses so don’t throw them away! First, I use it as a tape holder. Do this and you never have to spend more than a second looking for where your tape ends ever again! Next, I use it as a book marker. I sometimes clip it on the side of my book just right by the last paragraph I read. This makes it easier for me to continue exactly where I left off. I also use bread clips as a key tags. These are also great earphones keepers. Finally, bread clips are great flip flop fixers! So keep those bread clips and give them an afterlife with any of these tips! Stay OCfied!
I have a big box of old CDs that are so badly scratched, they don’t play anymore. Well, I don’t want them to go to waste so I found some great ideas on how to upcycle my old CDs! Hanging CDs make very good bird deflectors in the garden especially for fruit trees. There are many kinds of CD art. To make foil scratch art, just coat the CD with paint then use an old ballpen, stylus or cutter to remove the paint to show the shiny surface below it. Another CD art you can do with your kids is something like this! Feeling Christmassy this early? You can use old CDs to create a door wreath. You can also use old CDs to create your own earrings holder. Now if you have a lot more time and CDs on hand, I found this roof shingle project online! Though I think this will only work for smaller roofing projects like maybe a dog house or a garden accessory. I love upcycling projects! If you’re thinking of doing any of these, good luck and tell me about it!
Does your kitchen look anything like this? Well, for as long as you know where everything is, then I guess that’s okay. But if you spend more than a minute looking for a particular item, or if want to maximize the space that’s available to you, then it’s time to get organized! For my pot lids, I have an accordion type of lid organizer which I got at Ikea. I found someone online who used a pair of towel racks to organize her lids. I found another organizing fanatic who used adhesive hooks (try looking for Command Hooks at National Book Store). For my pans, I have a 4-tier pan organizer I got from Dimensione. I found someone who brilliantly used a shower rod and s-hooks to hang her pans. For those who want to try this, both are easily available at any hardware store. But I think this will work only for light aluminum pans; not the Cast Iron kind! For my plastic lids, I love this letter organizer from National Book Store! I can divide the smaller lids from the bigger lids! May your kitchen continue to be a source of happy meals and bonding for yourself and your family!
Given that we are in the midst of typhoon and flood season, be prepared! Create your own OCfied Emergency Kit! 1. Make sure you have a FIRST AID KIT. National Book Store and most drug stores already have ready-made ones. But if you have to make your own, the Red Cross recommends the following items to be included in your first aid kit:
2. Create an EMERGENCY GRAB BAG I found a lunch cooler at National Book Store which I chose because it’s reflectorized. Inside I placed the following items:
3. Create a SAFE STORAGE FOR IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS Place all your important documents in a clear plastic zip envelope. Add in a print out of your emergency numbers and some reserve cash. I certainly pray that none of us ever have to use our emergency kits but let’s all try our best to be prepared. May you all stay safe during this season! |
