When it comes to cabinet storage, there are only 2 things you need to remember to help you keep all your stuff neat and easy to find. 1. The first tip to take to heart is to organize according to category then keep them in separate boxes or bins. This way, everything is contained in orderly compartments. I myself use a combination of open bins for irregularly shaped items and see-thru plastic boxes for all the others. The nice thing about using see-thru plastic boxes is that you can easily check what is inside each box by just looking at it - no need to rummage through each container every time you are looking for something. I got my faux leather boxes from Make Room, my fabric boxes from S&R and all my plastic ones from National Book Store - you can find really affordable ones in all shapes and sizes there. For labeling, I use a Dymo Label Maker I also got from National Book Store. You only need to do this once and your cabinets will stay OCfied virtually forever! So make an effort because, as I love to say to all my friends, being organized means less time looking for things and more time with your family! Stay OCfied! I have a family of book-lovers so it’s no surprise that we've amassed way too many books, more than our little condo can hold. So I'm trying to find creative ways on how to OCfy and display our books. Hmmmm which one should I choose? I can use wire baskets. This could probably work well too with any sturdy basket. How about this modern-looking book shelf? I could go all out and have one built in a particular shape. How about this one? Literal floating bookshelves! Or I can just keep them stored neatly with one of my favorite organizing objects —- the magazine file! Do you have other book organizing ideas? Send me a message here or on my Facebook Page at OCfied.
How many times have you wound up errant ribbons, only to have them tangle up with each other all over again? There is a way to get over that tornado of ribbons lying in a drawer or box in your home. 3. Here is the finished product!
